In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, this Georgia Movement PUSH Weekend has been transformed into a relief effort in partnership with:
Good News Church
400 Warren Rd,
Augusta, GA 30907
On October 18th and 19th, we’ll be mobilizing volunteers to assist with recovery and support for one of the hardest-hit areas in the city.
Our efforts will focus on two main tasks:
• Repair Work: Teams will assist with tree removal, roof tarping, and other home repairs.
• Care Work: Volunteers will engage directly with residents, offering emotional support, listening to their stories, and praying for their specific needs.
We’ll begin at 9:00 AM on Friday, October 18th, working until 6:00 PM. Lunch and water will be provided for volunteers, followed by a dinner, devotion, and debrief. On Saturday, we will continue working from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, concluding with prayer before heading home.
When you register, please let us know:
• Whether you’d like to assist with repair work or care work.
• If you have chainsaw experience (we’ll need just 1 or 2 people).
• Whether you’re available for Friday, Saturday, or both days.
The registration fee of $40 will help cover the cost of meals and hotel accommodations. More details will be shared via email as we approach the event.
Please continue praying for those affected by the storm, and we hope you’ll join us in bringing hope and relief to Augusta!
